We are excited to welcome NAYEN 2018 to Omaha, Nebraska! Omaha is the proud birthplace of the Reuben sandwich, butter brickle ice cream, and Warren Buffet. We are the residence of Henry Doorly Zoo, one of the highest acclaimed zoos in the world, and play host to the United States College World Series every June.
Omaha was founded in 1854 by pioneers and was dubbed the “Gateway to the West” as expansion across the United States heightened. In 1898 World’s Fair, Omaha, showcased this “wild west” atmosphere for all sophisticated persons who were brave enough to make the trip. Today, the area where the World’s Fair once stood, has been replaced by magnificent restaurants, stadiums, hotels and shops. These amenities reside in what is now known as the Old Market District and the NoDo District yet, all around, the history still remains.
Omaha has the ideal blend of attractions to keep any visitor satisfied and at reasonable Midwest prices. In fact, in 2009, Forbes magazine ranked Omaha its number 1 “Best-Bang-For-The-Buck” city! We look forward to sharing our city and our hospitality with you during the NAYEN 2018 convention and hope that you enjoy your stay in beautiful Omaha, Nebraska!
